Coast 2 Coast

Hi all, I am Dan Shanafelt, age 23.  I'm a student in Forest Management at Oregon State University and a longtime co-worker of Tracy.  I will also be her co-rider on this wonderful adventure we're about to undertake.  I met Tracy many years ago at an outfitter/ kids summer camp where we both used to work.  I was pretty young and sure of my self and more than a little rough around the edges.  Tracy took me under her wing and became not only my co-worker, but a mentor and a great friend.  Even though i was just a kid then, Tracy treated me as an adult and i learned a great deal from her over our years together.  She's directly responsible in large part for molding me into the man I am today (whether she'd like to admit it or not) and I'm extremely excited to be a part of Coast 2 Coast for Cancer and our upcoming cross country ride.
